Action items are automatic events generated by Asset tracking to warn the user of impending activities such as maintenance schedules.
Alerts are generated automatically by Asset Traker based on data you have entered into the Asset program.
Asset Tracker generates alerts for:
- Maintenance that is due on an asset
- Maintenance that is due for completion on an asset
- Assets due for return from a transfer
- Depreciation calculations that are due
When you launch Asset tracking, the above items are checked for all assets and items qualifying for alert status are entered into the table while the user is notified of new alert items being added. After the program is running, a timer begins and every 24 hours, the same check is accomplished. This is necessary in case you keep the program running from day to day without shutting it down.
